About me
My career journey began in the fast-paced world of tech, where I took on roles in Marketing, Sales, and HR. Working in the startup environment, I quickly learned the value of wearing many hats. I had the unique opportunity to witness a company’s growth from its early stages to a successful IPO—all within just four years. It was an incredible experience!
At the time, though, I often felt uncertain about my place and purpose. I moved between departments, searching for that one thing that would truly ignite my passion. Little did I know, this early exploration was laying the foundation for my future success.
After the birth of my first son and a demanding role at a multi-billion-dollar company (Netflix, to be exact), I found myself completely burned out. I was frustrated by the lack of alignment between my personal life and career, and the way my team was being managed. At the same time, my husband, a general contractor with a small construction business, was struggling with long hours and the stress of bidding for jobs that didn’t always pan out. Together, we decided that I would leave my tech job and join our family business part-time.
This shift turned out to be a perfect fit, thanks to my startup experience. I brought structure, systems, and processes to his small company. I introduced 1:1 meetings with employees, implemented software to streamline operations, and created a Pre-Construction Agreement to save him hours spent on bids that never led to actual work.
Of course, this didn’t happen overnight. There were many frustrating days, but I was determined to figure it out. I dove into business books and tried my best to apply their strategies, but everything changed when we hired our first business coach. That’s when I began to truly understand the importance of financials, cash flow, and profit margins. I refined our lead conversion process and marketing efforts. Instead of reinventing the wheel each time something came up, I began creating systems and process documents that allowed us to grow and scale the business. I shifted from managing the day-to-day to becoming the leader my business needed to scale.
The results were remarkable. Over the next eight years, I transformed the company from a small six-figure business—possibly even five figures, as there was no accounting system in place—into an eight-figure enterprise with 25+ employees.
In 2022, life took a new turn, and I had the opportunity to sell my shares in the business after a professional valuation. Thanks to the systems, cash flow projections, and intellectual property we had built, the business was valued at $3.8 million.
Today, I’m living proof of what clarity, strategy, and hard work can do. And now, I’m committed to helping as many female business owners as possible achieve the same. My mission is to provide women with the tools, resources, and wisdom to build businesses that not only succeed but align with their vision of success—whether that means scaling, finding freedom, or eventually stepping away.
For me, success has always been rooted in two core values: Connection and Growth. I believe that success thrives when we connect deeply—with ourselves, our families, our clients, our work, and our communities—and when we continuously grow through learning, curiosity, and an open mind.
I’m here to help you build the business that will fulfill you, now and in the future. Let’s get clear on your vision of success, and start building the path to get there.
